Across the United States, drowning happens to many children but it is preventable, yet it still affects underserved regions. Recent data reveals that Black youth are over five times more likely to drown than their white peers, with the gap widening significantly in the pre-teen years. These statistics are not based on capability but on a systemic lack of resources: fewer local pools, less financial support for training, and social barriers that prevent access to vital aquatic programs.

Statistics show that those without formal training are at a much higher risk of fatal accidents. AquaSafe was founded to break these cycles and provide high-quality training to everyone regardless of their zip code. We work tirelessly to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to learn how to swim safely and confidently, moving us toward a future where aquatic accidents are a thing of the past.

A Creative Path to Survival

Our unique program uses guitar instruction to fund essential life-saving skills. It is an amazing exchange where students improve their musical talents while donating to a great cause. Every dollar raised through these private guitar sessions is funneled directly into our Swim Access Fund, removing the financial burden for families in need.

By learning an instrument, you are literally providing a child with the tools to stay safe in the water. We believe that community passion can drive systemic change, and this initiative proves that music can be a powerful force for good. Through this collaboration, a single musical note can ripple out to save a life, creating a safer environment for our youth.

Join us in this mission where your creative journey becomes someone else's survival story. We are turning hobbies into life-saving opportunities for children throughout the nation.

LEADING THE FIELD

Pioneering water safety via professional instruction and equity for every neighborhood.

A Harmony of Survival

In America today, drowning rates are alarmingly high in marginalized neighborhoods where access to pools is limited. Studies show that minority youth are far more vulnerable to aquatic accidents due to a lack of early education. AquaSafe bridges this gap by providing professional swim training.

Our Process

Participants sign up for guitar classes and their tuition acts as a direct contribution. These funds cover the cost of professional swim guidance for those in need. Each voucher generated through this program grants eight comprehensive lessons at local facilities like the YMCA or community centers. It is a seamless way to turn art into aquatic literacy. The program supports everything from basic water survival to competitive swimming scholarships. By choosing to learn music with us, you are empowering a child to navigate the water safely. Every student receives high-quality instruction from certified experts.

Our Core Goal

Swimming is a fundamental right and a vital survival skill for every person.
